Lund University School of Economics and Management

Globally engaged and regionally rooted.

Lund University School of Economics and Management (LUSEM) is both globally engaged and regionally rooted. We aim to make a positive societal impact by transforming education, advancing knowledge, and building innovative collaborations. Sustainability—together with Innovation and Internationalisation—forms the core of our impact agenda.

In line with these ambitions, we see GRLI as a valuable platform for connecting, inspiring one another, exploring new ideas, and developing initiatives together. We are particularly interested in engaging in collaborative efforts that contribute to sustainable transformation. While we have a strong local commitment, we see great potential to elevate our activities and ambitions through international collaboration. We want to be part of a network where we can move beyond dialogue and work together to create tangible outcomes. The course Globally Responsible Leadership for Sustainable Transformation is an inspiring example of this potential.

LUSEM represents a Nordic and European perspective on sustainable transformation. We have extensive experience in conducting interdisciplinary research and educational partnerships, linking students and external stakeholders around real-world challenges.

To connect its focus areas and translate them into societal impact through student engagement, LUSEM has launched the Future Hubs @LUSEM—three student-oriented hubs focused on sustainability, startups, and data analytics, connected by cross-cutting synergies. Future Hubs provides a platform for piloting collaborative formats, where cases, workshops, student projects, or network activities are co-developed. They function as a bridge, enabling two-way communication and collaboration between Lund University/LUSEM and the wider societal and international ecosystem.

Joining the GRLI represents an important context through which this ambition can be realised. It offers opportunities for international collaboration, where universities, institutes, and companies can jointly explore, test, and develop new ideas and initiatives. Through the Future Hubs, and the Sustainability Hub in particular, LUSEM seeks to engage, learn, and explore new forms of collaboration, contributing to and benefiting from a shared effort towards sustainable transformation.
