The GRID Booklet (2014)

The GRID Booklet presents a reflective framework developed by the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI) to guide leaders in embedding responsible practices across multiple levels of influence. Published in 2014, this resource outlines two complementary perspectives: the "I-Perspective" for individual self-assessment and the "We-Perspective" for collective organizational reflection.

The framework prompts leaders to examine core values, translate them into action, and assess their contributions to organizational culture, community, society, and environmental stewardship. By organizing reflection across four concentric levels—individual, organizational, societal, and planetary—the GRID tool encourages leaders to consider systemic interconnections and their personal role in driving change.

Produced by the GRLI in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact and EFMD, this booklet supports the initiative's mission to develop a new generation of globally responsible business leaders. The resource serves as both a diagnostic and developmental tool for business schools, learning organizations, and companies seeking to cultivate leadership that balances profit with purpose across environmental and social dimensions.
