Sulitest Report (HLPF 2018)

Sulitest presented this report to the United Nations High-level Political Forum in July 2018, documenting its progress as a flagship initiative of the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI). The report details Sulitest's online assessment tools designed to raise awareness and map understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals across global audiences. The primary tool is a multiple-choice test available in ten languages, administered to nearly 90,000 participants from 684 universities and organizations across 64 countries. The report includes analysis of test-taker demographics and sustainability literacy trends, describes specialized regional and topical modules addressing local contexts, and outlines tools in development including SDG-specific modules and a collaborative platform for faculty engagement. Supported by 39 international institutions including UNESCO, UNEP, and UNDP, Sulitest contributes directly to the 2030 Agenda by generating data on global SDG awareness. The resource is highly relevant to responsible management education, offering evidence-based insights into how higher education institutions can systematically integrate sustainability literacy across disciplines and engage stakeholders in informed decision-making for sustainable development.
