Global Responsibility, Now (2017)

"Global Responsibility, Now" is a 2017 call to action from the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI) for systemic change across how we live, learn, and lead. The document articulates an emerging paradigm that emphasizes conscious connection to self, others, and the whole as essential for addressing planetary challenges and societal instability.

The resource frames global responsibility around eight core principles, including acting with the common good in mind, recognizing interconnectivity, and understanding that change must occur at personal, organizational, and systemic levels. It presents the concept of "I, We, and All of Us" as a framework for thinking and action, grounded in fundamental values of human dignity, freedom, and respect.

The document poses essential questions for our time about the kind of world we wish to build together and identifies three critical domains for cultivation: how we live and make a living, how we learn and facilitate learning, and how we lead individually and collectively. It invites stakeholders to amplify this vision through their organizations, communities, and networks by sharing resources, tools, methodologies, and stories that activate global responsibility in others. The resource provides both conceptual framework and practical guidance for leaders committed to creating lasting, scalable positive change.
