Sasin strives to inspire.connect.transform current and future leaders by encouraging and creating sustainability through an entrepreneurial mindset. We firmly believe that exposure to real-world situations, multiple cultures, and global business problems is essential to developing successful leaders.
We strive to develop leaders who have impact; leaders who understand the implications of their actions on stakeholders and their communities, both short- term and long- term; leaders who understand the implications of today’s actions on the children of tomorrow.
Sasin sees sustainability as intertwined with entrepreneurship. Successful businesses must implement sustainable business practices while they grow and maintain profitability. This will demand an entrepreneurial mindset. Business leaders will need to find new solutions – and new ways to apply existing resources – just as entrepreneurs do.
In 2019, Sasin stakeholders agreed on a new vision and mission for Sasin. This new Mission/Vision brings sustainability and entrepreneurship—long hallmarks of Sasin programmes—right to the heart of what we do.
In addition to the new vision and mission, we created a foundational, for-credit, blended learning program, our “Skills and Values Module”, grounded in our school’s purpose: sustainability through an entrepreneurial mindset. This foundational program not only covers the normal pre-MBA subjects of accounting, math, presentation skills, statistics, etc., but also encourages our incoming students to reflect on life skills, meaning, personal values, and sustainability. This is now an ongoing part of our programs.
Joining the GRLI Network is an opportunity for an open, collaborative dialogue on the context, practices, and actions necessary for developing a sustainable mindset; offering responsible management education; and fulfilling the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
