An online-tool for competency assessment for responsible leadership
Building on the work of Anna Liechti’s meta study on responsible leadership, covering the five competency dimensions (stakeholders relations, ethics & values, self-awareness, systems understanding, and change & innovation) across three degrees of mastery (knowing, doing and being) the newly launched Competency Assessment for Responsible Leadership (CARL) is now available for full free public usage.
To date, several hundred of individual users have used the online assessment to determine their personal responsible leadership competencies. The online survey tool generates automatically a free personal profile with an overview of those competencies that can still be improved and developed. A person can retake the survey repeatedly and self-assess her improvement over a self-selected period of time. A growing number of institutions of higher education have started to use the tool to assess the profile of a group of students as a professor starts a given course.
CARL is the result of more than 4 years of research in the area of responsible leadership and pedagogy, a project driven by BSL (Business School Lausanne) and testing at St. Gallen.
